You guys!!! These two are so adorable... I can't even handle it! When I say I do not take my duty to be a great photographer lightly, they are the epitome of why. These two found me through Mary's sister Bethany, who is also a very talented photographer. We made plans to all meet at my favorite local coffee shop and talk about all things, Mary and Logan. Right away my second photographer and I fell in love with Mary and Logan, and their grand love story. You see these two have a long history.. and they have RECEIPTS YA'LL!!! Letters, tickets, tokens, and the famous bottle cap. I did a happy dance when they messaged me back telling me they would love for me to capture their love story.Â
Before their engagement session. I requested that Mary bring those important keepsakes so I can take detail shots of them. She brought a time capsule of their love story! I excitedly got to work picking out what to group together as Mary and her sister Bethany told me the story behind each item! The matching hats and promise ring. The handmade wooden boxes. The letters he wrote to her! The letter he wrote her confessing his love for her if he didn't make it back from a distant land... the earrings he brought back for her when he did. Birthday cards, tokens from dates and special moments they have shared together. The ornaments, which held mementos, that were hung on the tree where Logan proposed! The bottle cap to the soda he bought when he tried nervously tried to visit her at work. While I strategically photographed these, Mary angelically hummed. It was quite the heart filling experience getting to photograph their history in this way!
Mary's sweet grandmother wanted a few pictures in front of her porch where beautiful flowers had bloomed. Which made the most beautiful backdrop! Then we headed off to the field they told me about. Of course on the way, we made the most of every photo opportunity! I am so grateful Mary's sisters and mother came along. Not only did they assist me with my equipment, which I am eternally grateful for, but their giggles were contagious. If I wasn't making Mary and Logan laugh, they were. Logan even mentioned that he was smiling so much his face was starting to hurt! We made it to the field and my eyes darted around to a spot where the prettiest light was coming through. I felt their trust as they let me move them around creatively to get a variety of shots to love and cherish forever!Â
