I am thrilled I got to be apart of Aiden's adventure into the age of four! Last year was my first time meeting Aiden and Olivia. Aiden was a little shy which is to be expected. Tots are pretty unpredictable! If I learned anything from Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, it's how to 'paint a fence' and make it appear to be very fun so kiddos want to join in. First I like to let Aiden warm up to the idea by watching Olivia do it. Then he was pretty excited to join in. I gave him little instructions that seem like fun directions to follow and clicked down my shutter button like I was a paparazzi.Â
This time I could sense an older boy! He was smiles from the moment we were right out of the car. Not only did he understand how important his birthday pictures are, but he was also eager to work for his surprise. we took a few photos already in for an adorable session then headed over to another area at Battle Park in Corydon. I thought it was so precious that Aiden still walks with his hands in his pockets. I made sure to capture such an adorable personality trait.Â
Incorporating dinosaurs into portraits. I never thought that would be something IÂ would get to do but I was excited to be creative! Aiden showed me how the T-Rex turned on. So we ended up lining up all his dinosaurs and seeing how many the T-Rex can knock over!Â
We then headed over to the porch then onto the trail! I demonstrated for Aiden how to walk on a log. He then followed holding onto his momma's hand. I took into account where the best light was coming from and sat them on the bench accordingly. They, of course, were being adorable while IÂ was carefully walking around the woods capturing different angles. Then we wrapped up our session with a fist bump! Happy Dino-Four!!
