What a gorgeous fall day to have a beautiful country Wedding! One of my favorite things about this wedding was that it took me two whole minutes to drive to their ceremony sight!! Usually I leave an hour or more before a wedding to make it on time. This time around, it was a weird feeling to still be in my house way past a normal time to leave. My second shooter, Heather Wilkerson, showed up to my house with a bouquet of sunflowers! We talked about our excitement for Megan and Kyle and no sooner did we get in my car we were already at the ceremony sight. The decor was classic and elegant. Their aisle was lined with white pumpkins and mums. Everything tied together oh so gorgeously!Â
Meeting Megan and Kyle the first time was in a phase of this year that almost seems long forgotten. I was working from home and when I would have wedding inquiries I would schedule a zoom call instead of arranging a coffee date. Megan seemed to have a gut feeling that I was the photographer for them and I loved that certainty of just knowing that I would take care of them. That kind of trust I don't take lightly! I was excited to get out of the house and spend an afternoon with them doing their engagement photographs. I remember it poured rain for a good few minutes and we took cover in a barn then continued once the rain stopped. Fast forward several months and that barn we took cover in was completely transformed into a beautiful wood paneled entrance to serve food and drinks in! I was in awe at the dedication and hard work that took place in there to make this happen!
Megan and Kyle's ceremony was short and sweet. I loved that Megan's veil timelessly blew backwards as they sealed their wedding vows with a kiss! We snuck off to a nearby field for marriage portraits. I thought it was so awesome the horses were eager to get close to them, their curiosity made for a wonderful photo op. I've never been an equestrian but I have always desired the opportunity to bond with horses. I got a good laugh when Megan and Kyle started walking and the horses began to follow them, almost in a line. And again when the horse "Donkey" came up to smell and lick Kyle while they were posing! The song "Ain't nothin about you" played as Kyle spun Megan around on the dance floor. Not that I judge wedding songs but I feel like this song was the perfect choice for them! This day was truly a magical day I am so excited to see the future these two make together!
