IÂ love when couples write their own vows and read them aloud. It really gives family and guests a glimpse into how the couple met, how they feel about each other, or their dreams for the future. And since we had a wonderful videographer with us, IÂ can totally cheat and write what they said!!
"Chevy, I knew you would be the one for me the first time we ever hung out. We worked on your derby car and continued to work on your derby car for a couple of months. Then I finally got to meet Kylie for the first time. After I saw you with Kylie I fell so in love because you remind me so much of me and my dad. I think if my dad was here today, ya'll would get along just great. And the fact that you're wearing a pair of his old boots right now and they fit you perfectly is a sign from about that he approves. When I am with you I feel safe, warm and loved. I love you." - Jenna
There are so many factors that told Jenna he was the one. She chose to speak about a fathers love because that's what told her deep down that he is the one. And wearing her father's boots, that fit like a glove, was another sign. When Jenna was walking down the aisle IÂ caught a glimpse on camera of Chevy smiling at Jenna, then peering down at her fathers black Harley Davidson boots as he pivoted towards the aisle runner. Maybe there was a secret thought in there IÂ am not supposed to expose. But IÂ thought that moment was noteworthy to say the least.Â
"When I first met you, you were working at Subway. You were making me sandwiches every day. I asked you out that day and it was a shot in the dark. I didn't think it would grow to be this strong and powerful relationship we have now. And IÂ vow to be with you 100% in all your dreams and wishes. IÂ vow to do the best at filling your dads boots. As long as you can promise me to still make me sandwiches every day for the rest of your life." - Chevy
I know Chevy's vows made everyone laugh and we will probably be thinking about of eating Subway this week. But he totally made a vow sandwich! The opening was the foundation (bread), the center was the heart of their relationship (toppings), and the end wrapped up with wanting to have that the rest of their lives. That's actually pretty brilliant when you think about it.
These are the amazing vendors that helped make this day perfect!
