Welcome to Baby Blog Week!
Oiy! Hello there friends!! Jumping back into consistent blogging has not been easy. I have a list of beautiful newborns I had the honor of meeting October - January. So I figured what could be a better way to blog my little heart out than a special week dedicated to these little ones! Without further ado..Â
I'd like you to meet the Riddles! After a long drive up from a beautiful wedding in Clarksville, TN. I found myself a little bit lost in the roads of Lake Patoka. That moment when technology fails you in the most inconvenient time! I stopped on a road seemingly going nowhere and retyped in the address given to find IÂ was 20 minutes out in a random direction Siri took me. Thanks Siri! Luckily, I gave myself plenty of time to drive so I was able to arrive just on time! Immediately I hit the ground running with my in-home newborn pop-up studio. Little Mr. Briggs was just fed and ready for his close up! Since he seemed very sleepy in the white swaddle, I went for naked baby images next.
I assured Haley that I have been pee'd and pooped on at every newborn session and not to worry if nature called. She laughed and brought me some towels just in case! I did not have a portal heater at the time. So Haley bought her own and we set it up safely close to the pop-up studio. Briggs did not fancy the open air. Wiggling and kicking his tiny legs out from underneath him. He rolled forward quickly into my hands. They say that babies do not roll. But I know how easily they do and when I am flying solo taking newborn pictures I am always very close to baby for the babies safety! In some of the next shots where I needed to step away. We had Brigg's sweet grandmother sitting very close with a hand on him for his safety.
Next I did a nice green snuggly swaddle. After the change and another bottle he was happily in baby dream world. I even got a sweet little smile captured in there. I thought it was so awesome Brigg's grandmother brought along some very special family heirlooms to work into a couple of the photos. One of my favorite moments was taking pictures of the family and the ones with him sweet sister!Â
