If I am counting my biggest blessings in life -- especially in the past few years -- one has been my friendship with my homie Mrs. Heather Wilkerson. When I moved to Indiana, the concept of making all new friends wasn't exactly scary to me. I hoped for just meeting down to earth people like myself. My husband had in mind that his long time friend Heather and I would become fast-friends. He was totally right. (Like the only time he is right ;))Â
Heather and I have had so many days and weekends together having fun.. or sleeping on her couch because she's a tired mommy and I love naps. Through all of her own undertakings, she has firmly been there for me. And I really hope she could say the same. When Heather gave me the news she was expecting again. We were so tearfully joyful and hopeful Miss Amelia Rose would grace us with her presence in November.Â
Our session all started with my love for Taylor Swift. Yep IÂ love me some TayTay. (*Snake noise*) Since we had the long time plans of attending the Taylor Swift Stadium Concert at the Lucas Oil Stadium. I thought it would also be the perfect time for maternity pictures because Heather would fall in-between the 30-35 week prime zone. Which is the BEST time to have your maternity photos taken.Â
We left early in the morning knowing that we had a long drive ahead of us. Once we arrived to the Lucas Estate in Carmel, IN, we settled in and started right in on hair and makeup. I had been there just two weeks before scouting the beautiful estate grounds. Once she was all glammed up, we set out for some of my favorite areas where I envisioned nothing but peace and beauty. We gushed at the back of the camera after every few shots. We ran out of time to do the milk bath photos we planned, so we stuck a pin in it, and went to the Stadium. There we sang our hearts out with Taylor Swift. That girl puts on an amazing show. We are so glad we caught Taylor for the SECOND time on her Stadium Reputation Tour. The next day we hustled getting hair and makeup done, then the beautiful claw foot tub ready. Heather now has so many maternity photos to cherish for a life-time. I am so grateful to be able to do this for my homie!!Â
Favorite moment: When Heather said she really feels like a million dollars. That's all a friend could ever hope to make another friend feel.Â
