Addie and Mike | Southern Indiana Wedding
Back from a blogging break. I have had so much going on I have really taken the time to rest my mind and focus on how to move forward in my life in a healthy way. Such a strange way to start a wedding post I know! Well the truth is, I lost my granddad New Years Eve 2020 and it's really taken a toll on me. So I do as much as IÂ can handle. Which meant if I didn't want to sit in front of my computer and be a story teller, then I wouldn't. It's like leaving the lights off.. but I am home. I realized that no one can see the beautiful stories I've got to be apart of this year. Then I just feel this shame and sense of let down. So I am going to try and shift back over to a regular session blogging and even my own story telling perhaps?
The Clark Wedding was so special to be chosen to be apart of. I first met Addie in 2020. She was a Brides maid in the wedding I did for Mr. and Mrs. Pease. (Who are a freaking adorable couple and live right around the corner from me so I like.. try not to stalk them but I'm not saying when I drive by IÂ don't check out their new home progress and admire what they are building!) Addie was doing Megan's makeup and although IÂ thought she was a makeup artist at first. She was wearing matching flannels with the Bride and come to find out that Addie is basically a makeup artist! Flash forward and Addie became engaged to Mike and I got the message from Addie a little bit like this. "Hey, I don't know if you remember me.." I immediately remembered Addie!! I grabbed us a couple waters and we sat in the Corydon, Indiana Bicentennial Park and talked wedding plans.Â
Addie described to me that she was basically in love with Mike the day she met him back in school. They had previously dated but time and growth had separated them. Then one day a small passive message turned into the spark that was kindled into a full blown bomb-fire of happily ever after! The same place we did their engagement photos is the same place they held their wedding at the Adams Family Farm. They had a BLAST celebrating the night away surrounded by their friends and family.Â
